What They're Saying About The Online Program
Real World Experience
I train Special Forces in how to drive.
I was asking them what's a good martial art, and they said Krav Maga but make sure the instructor has real-world experience.
Happy to say I found Warriors Krav Maga online, and the instructor hasn't just learned it. He's lived it as a bouncer, bodyguard, and ex-Foreign Legionnaire.

The Most Practical
This course provides the most comprehensive and practical self-defense training of any “martial arts”/self-defense school I’ve ever attended.
Nick’s knowledge and background make him uniquely suited to train people both physically and mentally for a wide variety of real-world self-defense scenarios.

Highly Recommended
I love the fact I can work on this at my own pace. I also like I can go back and review a technique whenever I want (unlike real classes).
I especially love I don't waste an hour of my day traveling to and from classes. The instruction is easy to understand and easy to follow along.

Soft & Hard Skills
Warriors Krav Maga Online is by far the best course I’ve ever taken.
The program teaches the soft skills to avoid being a victim and the hard skills to protect yourself.
Online classes allow anyone to attend at their convenience. Highly recommended.

Excellent
Excellent online course! Nick Hughes is a fantastic teacher & has the background to back up his training.
I've tried other courses like this and gave up either due to overwhelm or boredom. Definitely not the case here.
Great exercise and builds confidence in your skills.

Motivational
Very good instruction and the lessons aren’t too long.
Techniques are excellent and practical for self-defense.
Really happy with what my two teenagers and I have learned so far!
They really enjoy the material, which helps them stay motivated.

Solid Course Of Instruction
This course came highly recommended by a friend, and has not disappointed.
You'll learn practical skills you can implement should the need arise to defend yourself.
I prefer to learn from people who have used the skills they are teaching and what actually works.
Highly recommend.
Straight To The Point
Hands down the best online self-defense course I’ve ever seen.
It’s not just a collection of boring videos. There’s printed material and bonuses, and the instruction is to the point.
You can tell the instructor knows his stuff which is refreshing.
It seems now that too many get their knowledge from Hollywood
What They're Saying About Control And Restraint
A Must, Not A Should
As a former police officer of fifteen years, there were some incidents when I had to physically control people.
In this modern era of people filming everything, it's not what you do but how people view what you do when applying force, even if force is necessary.
Based on what I learned in the Control and Restraint Module, I was able to apply techniques that were discreet but effective.
Scott Medlin Author, LEO Retired
For decades, people have been attracted to martial arts in order to learn the devastating self-defence and fighting techniques that may well one day save their life.
And so they should. Not being able to defend yourself is a very bad idea and whatever martial art you choose, there are literally hundreds of people and schools capable of giving you those basic skills.
But there is a problem.
The smash-‘em-up, gouge-the-eyes, smash-the-throat, rip-the-groin approach of most schools may well win you the fight, but it is going to land you in prison and, personally, though I once did, I no longer believe that that is effective self-preservation. Effective self-defence means not only that you live but that you get to go home, kiss your wife, and cuddle your kids.
‘Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6’, they cry. True, but even better to do neither.
And this is what Warriors Instructor Nick Hughes calls The Missing Link. This is the piece that the vast majority of schools leave out a) because they are not fully versed with the full picture of real-life violence and its consequences and b) because they simply do not know it.
The Missing Link is Control and restraint – the noble art of subduing an opponent without actually damaging them (and hence yourself).
I have trained in martial arts for over 50 years and have known Nick Hughes for over 30 of them. This online course is exceptionally good, and there is no one better qualified to put it together and deliver it.
Broken down into digestible 5-minute chunks, it is both easily accessible and hugely informative. Dive in; dive out. Take your time and fully digest each piece. I love it!
This course is worth every penny, and may one day be the difference between you winning the fight and losing the war.
Being able to subdue an aggressive opponent without damaging them is not only a legal requirement but actually represents the highest skill level and the highest moral calling of all martial arts.

Nick Hughes’s Control and Restraint course fills a gap between what is commonly taught as effective self-defence (but, in fact, takes into account almost nothing of the realities of violence) and actually being effective physically, mentally, and legally in a huge range of possible confrontations. The course will revolutionize anyone’s understanding of self-defence.
Many common approaches to self-defence are, sadly, ignorant and irresponsible. Different approaches take very narrow frames of reference and pretend an equally narrow response is all you need. Grapplers grapple. Boxers box. Nick’s C&R training bridges the gap between theoretical self-defense and the practicalities of real-world violence.
Hughes’s explanation of, and emphasis on, the crucial concept of Force Continuum ensures a clear understanding of the nature of escalating threats. It provides valuable insights concerning the levels of force appropriate in various situations, importantly aligning actions with the legal responsibilities and ramifications of those actions. This aspect is often minimised or completely ignored in self-defence courses. Nick successfully integrates appropriate, functional, skill-based training with the psychological aspects of threat assessment and effective communication in high-stress, potentially dangerous situations.
I highly recommend this Control and Restraint Program to all, including anyone actually in a position to teach self-defence. It stands out for its practicality, realism, and alignment with legal considerations. It is an invaluable investment for anyone seeking genuine and effective protection strategies.

In any conflict, the ability to restrain and control a person without resorting to striking techniques is a skill that not only can end the confrontation but also safeguards individuals from being seriously injured and the subsequent legal problems that follow.
When you have the opportunity to learn such techniques from an individual who’s combined decades of traditional martial arts training, military police work with the French Foreign Legion, and numerous security, bouncing, and bodyguard positions, you shouldn’t pass that opportunity up. Nick Hughes is that person. And if you can’t train with him in person, his Restraint and Control course through the Warriors Krav Maga Online University is the next best thing.
I wholeheartedly endorse the Control and Restraint Instructional Course taught by Nick Hughes. As someone who has navigated numerous high-stakes situations on the job, Nick brings a unique, hands-on perspective to the course. His clear and concise instruction ensures that participants not only understand but can effectively implement these essential techniques.
What sets Nick's course apart is its practicality—each strategy is rooted in real-world scenarios, providing invaluable insights for anyone seeking to handle conflicts with composure and skill. Nick's experience shines through in the comprehensive curriculum, ensuring that participants not only learn how to restrain and control effectively but also grasp the ethical considerations inherent in these situations.
As someone who has also spent considerable time training and working positions that required these kinds of skills and who also taught on a two-DVD set on Restraint and Control, I still learned some new ways of doing techniques and a few things I’d never tried before. If you're looking for a course that blends expertise, practicality, and ethical awareness, Nick Hughes' Control and Restraint Instructional Course is unparalleled.
